Stages of addiction treatment at Bright Futures Treatment Center
Addiction is an illness that isn’t very easy to treat. Quite a few problems accompany this disease – the fact that it requires lifelong attention and effort being one of them. Attending a heroin, cocaine, or meth rehab Florida center is the first step toward achieving long-term sobriety. However, just going into a treatment center and having yourself admitted isn’t enough. You’ll have to start by attending the right program, as it’s only with the appropriate level of care that you will be able to achieve the best and the most sustainable results.
Bright Futures Treatment Center specializes in innovative and individualized approaches to treating people with chemical dependency. Our licensed masters-level clinical team has created a program that includes a variety of techniques. Bright Futures Treatment Center offers three levels of care: PHP with community housing, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Program. We also offer Alumni groups for clients who go through any level of care here at Bright Futures Treatment Center.
Partial Hospitalization with community housing
Most commonly, when clients complete detox, they will enter our PHP with a community housing program. During the first six months of recovery, clients may experience Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS). PAWS are mild withdrawal symptoms that may happen even after completing detox. Having the additional structure of our program ensures clients are getting the appropriate care during this time.
Bright Futures Treatment Center encourages PHP community housing for clients beginning their recovery. The average length of this phase in the program is 30 days, though we offer extensions in our Florida rehab center to clients needing them. During this time, we introduce outside 12-step-based meetings to our clients, which helps our clients develop a routine of attending meetings on a regular basis.
After being admitted into Bright Futures Treatment Program our Clinical Director will meet with each client to determine which therapist best fits their needs. This therapist will be with them throughout their Bright Futures Treatment Center stay. Starting the client’s first week, they will be meeting with their therapist for individual sessions weekly. Depending on the needs of that client there are some cases where clients will meet with their therapist multiple times per week. In addition to the individual sessions, clients will attend group therapy sessions during the week. Clients can also go to the beach or gym after completing their daily groups.
Clients will also be offered some holistic approach groups during their time at Bright Futures Treatment Center. These groups include yoga, meditation, and art therapy. In these groups, clients learn to get in touch and care for their minds, bodies, and souls.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
The Intensive Outpatient Program Florida (IOP) is the next phase in the program here at Bright Futures Treatment Center. Clients in our IOP program must attend groups three times per week and see their therapist once per week. Though this level of care has a bit more freedom, we still ask our clients to attend 12-step-based meetings. In IOP, clients will start looking to get back into the working field. Clients will be assisted in resume building, job searching, and interview prep. This helps the transition back into everyday life to be smooth. While in IOP, we encourage our clients to continue in a sober living environment and assist in placing them in structured sober living.
Remember that you can finish Inpatient treatment and then move on to our IOP care. Likewise, you can go straight for IOP, but this is only advisable for certain individuals. If you have a moderate to mild addiction, you can try IOP. Due to its intensity, it isn’t the best option for people with severe addiction. In that case, a lengthier stay inside a drug or alcohol rehab Florida facility will be necessary.
Outpatient Program (OP)
Our Outpatient Program is the next level of care at Bright Futures Treatment Center. Clients are expected to attend groups and meet with their therapist once per week. In this phase, clients should have already obtained a job, and a sponsor and actively be working the 12 steps. Likewise, they should already have all the healthy coping skills and mechanisms mastered. This stage marks a person’s reintegration into society, a moment that everyone has been working on. This doesn’t mean that a person should let themselves go and start thinking that their road to recovery is finished. Addiction recovery takes lifelong work, so we provide another level of care for our clients.
Aftercare
Recovery is a lifelong commitment that begins with the decision to get sober. It has been clinically proven that those who participate in an extended substance abuse treatment program have a higher success rate in their sobriety. Our team supports the clients even after completing your care at Bright Futures Treatment Center. Our alumni program is made up of individuals who have gone through different levels of care here. Alumni meetings are held at the clinical office each week. Along with the meetings, there are frequent outside events and activities for alumni to participate in.
Attending this program allows you to stay in touch with yourself and people battling the same problem. There’s a chance that you will reconnect with some acquaintances that you made during your stay in our drug rehab Florida facility. But you will also get to meet brand-new people who have been getting the necessary treatment before or after you. That will help you stay on the right path to lifelong sobriety.
