Inpatient Treatment For Men

Men's Inpatient Rehab

Bright Futures Men’s Inpatient Rehab is a member of JCAHO. This organization is one of the highest levels of accreditation in the healthcare field.

Clients entering the men’s inpatient rehab at Bright Futures Treatment will often be admitted into our inpatient program. At Bright Futures Treatment Center we offer Residential Level 5 and Day/ Night with community housing. Here the clinical team, medical staff, case managers and residential staff all have one goal. That is to make sure each client is getting their individual needs met. Our clinicians use evidenced based therapy focusing on the disease of addiction and core issues that led to substance abuse. The clinical team can work on coping skills, improving self-esteem, anger and stress management, codependency, goal setting and restoring family systems.

Most individuals who are seeking substance abuse treatment are no longer able to manage their everyday lives. Due to this we highly recommend someone beginning their treatment to start off in Residential with community housing. During this phase clients will relearn basic life skills and how to cope with everyday life in a structured environment.

How important is an all male rehab?

Bright Futures Treatment Center believes gender specific substance abuse treatment is more effective than a coed environment. Our clinical team is able to address gender specific issues in a safe, comfortable, and none distracting setting.  When the substances are removed and there is no longer a way to suppress their feelings, individuals often use the opposite sex as a distraction.  When an individual makes the commitment to seek help, it is more beneficial to be in a gender specific environment so one can truly focus on them self.

Does gender specific programs have higher success rates?

Yes, programs that are geared towards one gender statistically have a higher success rate. Here are a few reasons why you should attend a men’s inpatient rehab:

  • Being comfortable

At Bright Futures Treatment Center, our male clients are more likely to participate in group discussions if there are no female clients present. We want  all of our clients to feel at ease,  be able to open up, and express themselves. We encourage our clients to build a strong connection with the other male clients. Maintaining a gender specific environment allows our clients to fully get honest, express their feelings.

  • Not having to be masculine

Social norms have established a negative stigma surrounding men, and how they should present themselves. Often times men have been taught its not ok to act emotional because it is seen as weak. This causes men to suppress their feelings and not be able to work through issues they may have. At Bright Futures Treatment Center, we eliminate this stigma so clients can share their emotions in a safe setting.

  • Judgement

We want our clients to feel comfortable in their environment where they are becoming vulnerable. Individuals who suffer from substance abuse sometimes have experienced situations that may be both verbally or physically traumatic. Our environment is built to make sure that clients are not judged in any way while expressing their experiences. Having men around them who may have experienced similar events will allow the individual to share truthfully and heal during the process.

  • Spending less time focusing on women related issues

Majority of the time an individual will have a gender specific concern that they are uncomfortable sharing in front of the opposite sex. In order to effectively address these issue it is important that men and women are separated.

  • More in common

Men have a lot of thoughts and feelings in common. It is much easier for a male to relate to another male in therapy and group. Substance abuse effects both men and women equally. Both genders have different emotional, mental, and physical characteristics, which make it difficult to treat them together. Men and women may have different experiences throughout their active addition.

Benefits of Male Treatment Programs

Substance abuse effects both men and women equally. Both genders have significantly different emotional, mental, and physical characteristics. This makes it difficult to treat them simultaneously. Men and women have different experiences throughout their active addiction. There are no two individuals who share the exact same journey towards recovery. More often than not, men relate to men, and women relate to other women. It is more productive and effective to treat them separately.
